If you’re looking to extend your dive time or want to make the most out of a 5-dives-a-day type holiday, then you should say hello to one of PADI’s most popular specialties: The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty course.

Diving with enriched air means more time underwater… but you need to be certified as an Enriched Air Diver to get enriched air fills.

Course Description

Diving with enriched air (nitrox) lets you safely extend your no-stop time beyond the no decompression limits for air.

Whether you’re into underwater photography or wreck diving, on holiday on the Costa del Sol, Spain, or just out for a leisurely day of diving at your local dive site, the PADI Enriched Air Diver course helps you get more out of diving by giving you more time underwater.

Diver Training During the PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty course you will:

Learn to analyse cylinder contents.
Plan enriched air dives using tables and dive computers.
Safely increase your no stop time.

Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or have a qualifying certification from another organisation).

This is an academic (classroom only) certification but we will be happy to arrange an optional dive on nitrox. Please email us for details.

Course duration: One day minimum.

Certification counts toward the Master Scuba Diver rating.

Health & Fitness

Anyone with an average level of fitness can enjoy scuba diving. You don’t have to be an athlete!

However, some medical conditions such as heart or lung problems could prevent you from participating.

Before signing up for a PADI course, you will be required to complete and sign the standard PADI Medical Questionnaire [PDF, 120KB], with any “YES” answer cleared by a doctor.

We recommend taking the form to your doctor for completion before you travel to Spain.

Weather & Dive Conditions

The Costa del Sol has the perfect weather for taking a PADI course or just diving for fun, with over 300 days of sunshine per year. Hence its name!

Summer daytime temperatures average 30°C (86°F), with winter around 16°C (61°F).

Water temp May to September: 19 – 29°C (67 – 85°F)
Water temp October to April: 14 – 18°C (58 – 65°F).

Please note: All course prices include complete rental from our range of the latest and most modern Scubapro diving equipment; transportation to and from the dive sites in one of our air-conditioned mini-buses or by RIB boat; plus PADI certification on successful completion of your course.
